Regular reading at home is greatly appreciated and we would like you to hear your child read at least four times each week and record when you have read in their individual reading record. Reading books will be changed twice a week on a Monday and Thursday.
Tuesday is our library day, where children can borrow a book to share with you at home, please return it each week in order to take home a new one.
High frequency words
"High frequency words are one of the main types of sight words and are those words which occur most frequently in written material, for example, "and", "the", "as" and "it". They are often words that have little meaning on their own, but they do contribute significantly to the meaning of a sentence as a whole."
