See below for English and Maths expectations, sample papers and revision guides.

Below, for parents information,  are various letters and forms related to the Year 6 Grenville House trip in June 2019, all children will be given hard copies of these as well.

We have been learning about our circulation system. On the last day of term we investigated what is in our blood!

We did some fun maths activities outside in the sunshine! Co-ordinates, shape, circumference and measures all being investigated!

We have designed and made prototype chairs. We had to consider our end users, the aesthetic and the structure!  We learnt to measure and saw and join wood using Jinks corners.

Year 6 held a level 1 sports competition this week - a netball tournament.  The children were competitive and also worked within our sports values - the focus for last term being 'honesty'!  Over the next term, the new focus will be 'Passion!'  We have some very passionate athletes in the year group, and hope that the others catch that enthusiasm!

As part of the whole school focus on the film "Soar" we made and tested parachutes! We needed a good head for heights, and had lots of fun making adjustments! We had varying levels of success!

We have just started a PSHE topic on finance and money sense!  Exciting.....

Read our remembrance poems that we wrote on our special Great War day :

In our topic "Faith through the Arts", we have been focussing on the Jewish Festival of

Hanukkah .  It is the Jewish Festival of Lights.
It dates back to two centuries before the beginning of Christianity. In the western calendar Hanukkah is celebrated in November or December.

We have learnt:

•the significance and  symbolism of Candles in Judaism
• the use of decoration in Jewish celebrations
Look at these candle holders we made!  (we are using battery fairy lights for safety! When they come home , perhaps a battery tea light could make these look lovely !)

We've been doing a team challenge to solve LONG MULTIPLICATION problems!
Epic effort from Year 6!

We have been studying 'Faith and the Arts' in RE this term, with a focus on the arts and symbolism in different religions. This week we revised our knowledge about Sihkism.  Look at the designs of these Kalgi.
