The whole school enjoyed the picture book "Flotsam" and we were inspired to choreograph dances about the sea! Videos were created in just one lesson!!!!!!!!!

You can see them by going to the video resource centre which is in the 'Children' menu.

Year 6 held a level 1 netball tournament today! Here are the photos. Ask your children who won and how they did! It was epic!
Year 6 benefitted from a visiting coach who brought nine rowing machines into school last Friday. The children raced each other and learnt some amazing techniques and how tough rowing is! Nobody fell in the water!Watch this space for the inter schools competition results at the end of January!
Year 6 held their GREAT EXHIBITION onThursday 14th December to show off lots of their learning from this term.  It was inspired by the Great Exhibition in London in 1851.
We were inspired to be designers and we designed and made these chairs in D&T.  They are quite small but make a great prototype. We used wood and learnt about structure and support as well as the end user of a product.
Some of the Y6 pupils investigated the efficiently of different types of bird beaks in different environments as part of their learning about evolution and survival of the fittest!  The data threw up some interesting questions!
Swordfish had a visiting secondary school biology teacher to work with them today on classification of living things!  Lots of real life examples to sort, and lots of discussion!
On Monday 6th November Year 6 had a brilliant trip to Morwellham Quay for a Victorians visit. We went on the copper mine train, had a Victorian school experience, learnt about hard labour on the cutting floor and tried on Victorian clothes. We will follow up this learning in school over the coming weeks.
